May 29, 2010 — Received my first royalty statement from Kensington. What a totally awesome feeling.
May 20, 2010 — Received page proofs for VOW OF DECEPTION in the mail.
April 24, 2010 —Received the jpeg file of the book cover for VOW OF DECEPTION. Like my first book cover, a bare-chested, hunky hero wielding a magnificent sword graces this new cover. Very sexy. I particularly like the colors and setting in the background. Cover coming to my website in June.
April 18, 2010 —Finished Copy edits for VOW OF DECEPTION.
April 7, 2010 —Received copy edits for VOW OF DECEPTION from Kensington.
March 5, 2010 —Completed and submitted revisions for my second book published by Kensington.
March 5, 2010 —It’s now official. The title of my second book is VOW OF DECEPTION. Book cover and story blurb coming soon.
February 1, 2010— Began revisions for my second book and sequel to Vow of Seduction.
November 19, 2009—Submitted my second novel to my editor.
October 24, 2009—Vow of Seduction goes into a second printing within two weeks of publication.
October 24, 2009—Attended my first book signing with Zebra author Kimberly Killion at Barnes and Noble, Topeka, KS.
October 17, 2009—Presented a workshop at Kansas Authors’ Club Convention. It was my very first public speaking engagement.
October 8, 2009—Received my free author copies of VOW OF SEDUCTION from Kensington Publishing.
October 6, 2009 - VOW OF SEDUCTION arrives in bookstores.
October 2, 2009—Received from the printers the new bookmarks and signed author bookplates Jeannie designed for me.
July 27, 2009—Launch date of my new website and first contest giveaway.
June 29, 2009—Jeannie sent me the design mock up of the web site. I love it. It’s beautiful and sexy and classic and romantic. In other words, it’s exactly what I wanted.
May 23, 2009—Whew. The page proofs are done, at last. They’re in the mail and will arrive at Kensington on the May 25th deadline.
April 29, 2009—A huge package landed in my mailbox today—Page Proofs. Yay! For those of you who don’t know, page proofs are unbound pages of my novel in book format, which must be proofed for errors before it goes to print. I now have an inkling of what my book will look like in published form.
March 29, 2009—The best birthday present ever arrived in the mail today—my cover flats. I cannot say enough about them. They’re more impressive than the electronic cover. The color is a vivid purplish hue, with a matte finish and gold embossed lettering.
March 12, 2009—I received the jpeg file of my cover. It’s totally amazing—I love the hunky male model, the commanding way he’s gripping his big, gleaming . . . sword, yes, sword.
March 9, 2009—I finished the copyedit changes and zipped them in the mail today, successfully meeting my first deadline as an author.
February 29, 2009—My copyedited manuscript arrived in the mail today.
February 2, 2009—Megan Records is my new editor.
January 30, 2009—My editor, Hilary Sares, leaves Kensington Publishing.
January 27, 2009—The title of my medieval romance changed from Reclaiming Love to Knight of Love and then to Vow of Seduction. The new title was my suggestion. Ironically, the book was titled Vow of Seduction for a number of years until I changed the title to Reclaiming Love.
November 24, 2008—Signed two-book contract for Reclaiming Love and its sequel, my current WIP.
September 4, 2008—Received THE CALL from Hilary Sares of Kensington Publishing. She offered me a two-book contract in their Zebra Debut Author Program.
